After scrolling through pictures on computer and finding this pic of a beautiful sandstone tree grave marker, I thought it to be an excellent example of the craftsmanship that stone carvers had back in the day. Everything done by hand. I am curious how long it would take a master stone carver to do this work? I am sure the work took a lot less time than we would think.
This grave marker is in Albany Rural Cemetery. The photo was taken a few years ago and I cannot remember where. It would be easy to find the location by plugging the names into Ancestry's search engine on the ARC card file. However at this time I am enjoying the mystery and do not want to spoil it.
