Ancestral Gravestones
Trying to get back to posting blog stories. The Coronavirus has many lives turned upside down; including myself. I am not ill but tied up and out of my element in other ways. In this article I will post a photo of the gravestones of my direct ancestors who are buried in the United States. For my genealogy research, I am very fortunate that most of my family is buried locally.

RootsTech 2020 : Day 2 Recap
Thursday was day number two at RootsTech. Another full day of genealogy, friendly people, and friends. Sessions throughout the conference ran at 8 am, 9:30 am, 11 am, 1:30 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:30 pm.
The conference was held at the Salt Palace Convention Center; only two blocks away from the Family History Library. Many attendees including myself researched at the FHL after the day's events ended at RootsTech. The size of the convention is enormous. A couple shots outside and inside the Salt Palace does not indicate its size. Well over 20,000 attendees were inside.

Today's general session speaker was Leigh Anne Tuohy who is the real-life mom from the movie the Blind Slide. Her motivation talk highlighted that everyone has a story to tell and that stories and family matter!

The Expo Hall opened daily at 10 am. What is the Expo Hall? Well, it is a virtual candy store for genealogists. You name it; if it was connected to genealogy, it was there. Many many vendors. Book sellers, subscription sites such as Ancestry, MyHeritage, Geneanet, and Geni, translators such as SK Translations, genealogy societies including National Genealogical Society, New York Genealogical & Biographical Society, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, educational schools such as BYU and National Institute for Genealogical Studies, wall charting vendors, genealogical societies, and many more were present.
